WRENS, DIPERS, ET AL
Dippers are members of the genus Cinclus in the bird family Cinclidae, named for their bobbing or dipping movements. They are unique among passerines for their ability to dive and swim underwater.
The Wren is one of Europe's smallest birds with a big voice and can be found in a wide variety of habitats from sea level to mountainous areas. It spends most of its time low down, on or near the ground, often in deep thickets. It becomes more prominent when it perches to sing with tail raised and a wide open bill.
